I swear, there has never been a more ethereal, charismatic, absolutely beautiful child on earth. Jacob is a true gift from God. Unexpected though he was, we are so blessed to have him.
Jake came to us when he was 10 days old. We were told he could not survive his condition and agreed to take him as a hospice placement.
But he had other ideas. So we started the surgeries.
And therapy after therapy. He has always been such a hard little worker.
And let me tell you, this child and his therapists have worked and worked hard. He is a very determined young man, with a great support system.
But Jakes life is not all work with no play. He has had more play and travel than most people twice his age. This child has experienced so much joy and happiness. More than many senior citizens I know!

He learned that he loves dressing up in costumes. He loves acting, and should probably be in the theater some place. In fact he was on stage in the roll of 'Chip' in Beauty and the Beast when he was 8 years old. He makes some of his own costumes and believe me when I say that costumes are NOT for Halloween only in Jake's world. It is honestly an everyday occurance!
Jake may be the happiest person I know. I do know that he makes those around us much happier just by being here and being himself. He is quite the charactor and God sure knew what he was doing when he sent him to our house.
